 Conference Questions

Can men register for the event?

While Renee and Debbie designed The Smart Women Maid Rich Success on the Seas Cruise with female entrepreneurs in mind, everyone can benefit from the business success strategies that will be shared. For those curious and courageous men that want to attend we’d love to have you!

What can I expect to learn and experience?

At the conference you will not only have a fun, rich experience mingling with other successful women, but come away with new skills in the areas of Selling Skills, Communication Skills, Negotiating, Leadership Skills, Conflict Management, Financially Fit Skills.  We keep adding more and more to event all of the time because we will have a unique opportunity to really work hands on with skills that often take practice and guidance in person to acquire.

What if I can’t leave my business for a week?

This conference will be perfect for you.  The boat leaves Thursday afternoon and arrives back in Miami early Monday morning, so it’s like you are just going for a long weekend.

Who will be the speakers?

Consultants Renee O’Brien and Debbie Sardone will be presenting together for the first time with a powerful series of topics (some not revealed yet).  The topics are comprised of tons of research of new techniques and skills for the way Today’s women are successful.

Will we have to attend seminars the whole time or will be have time to explore the cruise activities?

We know that part of the fun of being on the cruise is being able to experience the ports, the nightlife and other fun activities, so we will be planning in lots of breaks, and clinics where you can optionally choose what you would like to do.

Will there be tools for us to take home?

Yes! You won’t leave empty handed. We have a complete package of materials for you to take home and implement right away. We are even including business image upgrade takeaways.

What is the most valuable thing that I will get out of attending over just purchasing the DVDs?

Well, first off 2012 Cruise Conference is a private event that WILL NOT be video recorded. We will have an audio set available for sale for those unable to attend. The audio set will be a great asset if you are unable to attend, but the whole experience of being there, practicing with your coaches in person, and mixing with other successful business women is an experience not to be missed.

Will this be one of those seminars where many people try to sell us a bunch of stuff while you have us captive?

No, this will NOT be a “pitch fest”.  Yes, we may have some applicable learning aids and special coaching programs to help those interested in implementing the lessons from the cruise.  And, our Image Makeover person will have some great deals on makeup that she may want to share with you to maintain your new look.  But that’s it.  No pressure, no sponsors or vendors.  We want this to be a relaxing, wonderful experience for you.

Is the Seminar Agenda Set In Stone?

No.  We won’t know the exact timing of the ships activities until later, and we are adding things all of the time.  The schedule is subject to change.

Can I afford this?

Absolutely!  We intend for this conference to be about half of what you would normally spend on hotel, food, entertainment and conference attendance…and it may even be cheaper than that.  We are even going to offer payment plans (that are frankly logistically complicated on our end) because we know that will make things affordable for you.

Booking and Travel Arrangements Questions

What if I am traveling alone?

If you are registering alone you can (1) Sign-up on our “Find a roommate list” to match up with another woman looking for a roommate, (2) Register for a single room.  Prices are based on double occupancy so there will be a surcharge, but a single room is an option.  (3) You often have until May or so until the Cruise Line will want a final selection of rooms, so you can work with our travel agent to wait and see how your plans play out.

What if I don’t know anybody?

No problem.  Lot’s of women will not know anyone.  In the months prior we will setup a forum and other things to help you get to know people and feel totally welcome before you arrive.

What if I don’t have a roommate?

We are setting up a roommate matching forum to get you fixed right up.

Can I bring my family?

All seminar attendees are also welcome to bring their non-seminar attending spouses, family or friends for our Cruise-Only rate (starting at $655).

Can I come if I am in the cleaning industry but am not an Owner, or my cleaning business is not residential cleaning?

This conference is for all women in the cleaning industry that are an owner, spouse of an owner, manager, executive, administrator or anyone connected to the cleaning industry that would like to join us.  We even have a couple of business owners that don’t have cleaning businesses that are coming.  You are welcome here.

What is your Cancellation Policy?

Cancellations received before 3/15/12 will be refunded monies paid minus $250. Cancellations received between 3/15/12 and 4/13/12 will be refunded monies paid minus $300. Cancellations received between 4/14/12 and 5/06/12 will be refunded 50% of monies paid. Cancellations received after 5/7/12 cannot be refunded.

Can I wait to book until the new year or later?

You can technically book up until April or until we are sold out, but I wouldn’t wait if I were you.  For the best selection and assurance of getting a spot you will want to book early.

How do I get some the great early incentives you are offering?

Book as early as possible.  We expect a number of people to try for the early bird incentives within the first 24 hours of the opening of Registration.  Bookings within 24 hours of registration must be through the online shopping cart only.  No phone, fax or in person orders within 24 hours of opening registration.

What if I don’t know what kind of room I want or who I am travelling with when I book?

You don’t have to know what your plans are to secure your spot.  Register with your $250/person down payment online when registration opens and then you will be contacted with our dedicated travel agent’s information to help you decide amongst all of your choices (cabin type, roommates, shore excursions, ground transportation, etc.)

What’s included in the Conference/Cruise price?  Are taxes and fees extra?

Prices will be available and released when registration opens, (Tuesday, November 29 at 5:00 PST, 6:00 MST, 7:00 CST, 8:00 EST, when the email arrives in your inbox), and the prices will INCLUDE ALL TAXES AND FEES.  Amazing!  Taxes on a cruise ship are often around $150 so I am sure you will be shocked at what we come up with.

Can you help with making air travel arrangements?

Our dedicated travel agent will help you with your room choices, etc.  as well as he can help you if you choose with air and ground transportation.  Air and ground transportation are not included in the Conference/Cruise registration, but we did choose our departure location very carefully.  Miami has two airports that you can fly into (Miami and Fort Lauderdale a short drive away), making it one of the most affordable airports to get to, often for around.

What kind of travel documents do I need?

Our travel agent can go through all of these details with you so there will be no surprises and you will have plenty of time to get things ready ahead of time.

Curiosity

This Smart Women Maid Rich Conference/Cruise is a great idea, how did you come up with it, and decide to do it together with Renee O’Brien and Debbie Sardone?

Well, in 2009 year ago Debbie and Renee got to talking about how they both had been interested in putting on a Women’s Conference. Renee wanted to pack hers full of great professional skills training that would be lifelong skills, and Debbie was passionate about many topics related to building a balanced life while building a business. Renee had also been thinking for some time that she wanted to begin doing seminars on cruises because of the unique experience they offer; and Debbie was really looking for a fun venue. So, over a couple of glasses of wine, the best dang conference was decided on, and now we are both ecstatic to bring it to you! Don’t miss the boat!

The very first Smart Women Maid Rich Cruise Conference took place in Spring 2010 and was an enormous success with people claiming it was the most impactful event for their business that they have ever been to. Since then we have developed the Smart Women Maid Rich Club which meets twice monthly for some great inspiration and information about how to become the best professional in your industry.
